kcteach12 Posted August 14, 2016 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2016 This will be a short review on the Carnival Breeze July 31-Aug. 7. Embarkation: We had trouble finding a porter since it was so busy, but once we dropped our luggage off we were waiting to board within 10 minutes. We did have FTTF. Ship: This was our 3rd and probably the best time on the Breeze. Food: We enjoyed everything. Ate in the buffet a few times, dining room a few times, steakhouse twice, Italian food once and Guy's Burgers a lot. Entertainment: We never saw a show that we didn't like. Yes, the performers made a few mistakes, but they were so entertaining that it didn't matter. Music: Ocean Plaza had a great band that we enjoyed. We also enjoyed sitting in the atrium listening to music. Pools: Very crowded, so we didn't get in them. We enjoyed a port day on the ship and we used the pool then. Cabin was an interior on deck 11. We will probably go back to a balcony in the future. I missed seeing the ocean Montego Bay: stayed on the ship Grand Caymen: stingray swim! Loved it! Cozumel: Nachi Cocom. Water was not as clear and seaweed was pretty bad, but we still enjoyed it. Disembarkation: Carried our suitcases off and we were meeting our shuttle by 7:30. Very easy! Shuttle service was Galveston Limousine. They were wonderful! Met us at the airport on time in an air conditioned van and they were there to pick us up on time in an air conditioned van. I know that there are some people that can find something bad on every cruise, but we loved our cruise and we have booked again for next summer on the Carnival Vista. WeddNcruise Posted August 14, 2016 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2016 What airport did the shuttle pick you up at? And how much is it from airport to port? Thanks! Sent from my iPhone using Forums
kcteach12 Posted August 14, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted August 14, 2016 We were picked up at Hobby. Galveston Limousine had an online deal and the round trip cost for 2 was $80.

DanishJourney Posted August 14, 2016 #6 Share Posted August 14, 2016 We arrived around 10:30. After check in we waited about an hour to board the ship. Great thanks. We are going in December and have FTTF. So I guess the boarding (might) start around 11.30, so if we arrive to port 10.00-10.15 we might be able to board right after check-in. N2DFIRE Posted August 14, 2016 #7 Share Posted August 14, 2016 Did you go to the comedy club? If so, do they have the same comedians all week or do they change them out during the cruise.

texasgirl73 Posted August 15, 2016 #9 Share Posted August 15, 2016 We were on that same cruise. Went to Nachi Cocum as well, had FTTF, and did self assist to get off so I bet we crossed paths. Going on Vista next summer as well. Great minds.....
kcteach12 Posted August 15, 2016 Author #10 Share Posted August 15, 2016 N2DFIRE, we did go to the club. Comedians were switched out about midway through the cruise.

We just got off the Breeze this morning. They had four different comedians during the week, both doing family and adult shows.

JaniceB Posted August 15, 2016 #15 Share Posted August 15, 2016 We were picked up at Hobby. Galveston Limousine had an online deal and the round trip cost for 2 was $80. Was this a shared shuttle or private?
kcteach12 Posted August 15, 2016 Author #16 Share Posted August 15, 2016 The Ocean Breeze had a band that played 80's and some 60's and 70's. They were very good. There was also a guy that I believe was playing Latin music. He moved to different areas during the cruise. Our shuttle was a shared one, but we were the only ones from Hobby to Galveston.
