Cruising Liberty Dec 10 - just got cabin assignment and ?'s

We will be cruising the Liberty on the 10th of December the Eastern Itinerary. Wondering who the matre 'd and CD could possibly be as well as if anyone has any experience with having a cabin just under the diningroom area as we are.

I dont know if the CD and Matre d will be the same after leaving the med-- Guess we have to wait til Niv 12th to find that out.

Just curious... why are you interested in the name of the maitre d'? Our experience is that the maitre d' is almost like "The Invisible Man."

Yogi - usually the matre'd is the invisible man but there is one matre'd out there Ken who does this Frank Sinatra bit almost everynight - just wondering if we would be subjected to him again as we have been in the past. Some people LOVE Ken - we just didn't think he was "all that."

Just got off the Liberty this week and John Heald was the CD. I know he was doing the trans-atlantic crossing, but not sure how long he has that position.

 

I don't believe that either of the Maitre-D's was named Ken. The one in the Silver dining room was Chandar and he was from India.

Ken is now retired--he now owns a pub in Ireland or Scotland- I forget exactly where it is.

We enjoyed him very much and all of the wait staff really seemed to like him.

I have heard rumors that John Heald was leaving Liberty the first week in Dec, then that date was extended until Jan. So its hard to say for sure.
