Fort Lauderdale to Miami Port

The ride takes about 45-60 minutes, depending upon traffic and there are lots of shared shuttles that charge about $15 per person each way - SAS, QLS, Go Airport, etc.

You can taxi for about $75+ on the meter or Uber for about $40. Private car and limo service will vary based upon how stretch you want your limo. ;)

Where can I find the info for the shuttle service to Miami? We may have to fly in the night before. Any hotels in Ft. Lauderdale that shuttle you to the port in Miami if staying the night? Thanks!

It is a 45-60+ minute drive from the FLL area to the Port of Miami (POM). Any hotel that "includes" this transport is just building the cost into a room package rate.

Better off choosing an FLL area hotel that works for you - http://www.sunny.org has lots of FLL tourist and hotel info -- and then booking your own transportation to POM. SAS (http://www.ridesas.com), QLS, MJS, Go Airport and others are suggested on this board almost daily with fares averaging about $15 per person each way. Check the shuttle web sites to see which hotels they pick up at - saves you a trip back to the airport. ;)

If you have up to 3 travelling light you could squeeze into an Uber from FLL area to POM for about $40-45.

Embassy Suites

Fort Lauderdale hotels (including the Embassy Suites) don't shuttle to Port of Miami - it's too far and takes too long. Go with a shuttle company, taxi, Uber or a limo service.

I stayed at Embassy Suites this past April and was told they do shuttle to the Port of Miami for a $. Always best to contact the hotel directly, as well as shop around for other options.
