Happycruiser1601 Posted September 12, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 12, 2016 Hi, Can anyone tell me ASAP as I sail in two days, if I can use my Australian hairdryer safely on the Sea Princess sailing from Perth Australia to Asia. I was told I can't use it, only charge cameras etc from the Australian socket on this ship. My travel agent said I could use it, so I have no idea what to believe. Should I take my American hairdryer that I have which I use when travelling in the States? Hoping someone can help that has had experience on this ship. Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted September 12, 2016 #2 Share Posted September 12, 2016 (edited) Sea Princess should have one Australian power points (Sun and Dawn do). I always take my Aussie hairdryer with me. There will probably be US power points as well though. Edited September 12, 2016 by OzKiwiJJ
Aus Traveller Posted September 12, 2016 #3 Share Posted September 12, 2016 Oz KiwiJJ is correct. You can use your Aussie hairdryer. I suggest you take either a double-adaptor or a power-board that is NOT surge protected. The surge-protected type can be dangerous on a ship are may be confiscated.
