koss78b2 Posted September 13, 2016 #1 Share Posted September 13, 2016 I was looking and found out that its possible to hike the Pitons and climb to top one of the mountains in St. Lucia. i know its about 2 hours drive one way from port to the hiking spot. as i am doing a carnival cruise here in October. would there be enough time to do this? anyone on this board who did a cruise, hike up the Pitons? is it a doable in the time allowed? or should i look at something else. thanks

Check out Spencer Ambrose for a sea transfer each way - you'll climb from the beach instead of trailhead which adds about 600+ feet to the climb. The transfer is about 45 minutes by seas. You can also check out Serenity TVL, Barefoot Holidays, Solar Tours and Travel, etc for tours - they all offer it, it just varies in transportation and what's included. Quite doable from the ship. Bring lots of water, more than you think. Enjoy!
