Nassau questions

Hi! We are booked on Carnival's "Top 10 Best of Nassau" sightseeing excursion in November stopping by several places including the Nassau Rum Cake Factory, Potters Cay local fish market, John Watlings Rum Distillery, Fish Fry, Twin Brothers Restaurant and the Straw Market. Do any of you have good recommendations on food, drinks, souvenirs, etc. at these places we shouldn't miss? Also any suggestions on "cheap" options are appreciated too although I would love to hear all suggestions. We've never been to the Bahamas. Half Moon Cay is our other port. Really looking forward to this cruise!

Conch is really popular in the Bahamas so try a conch dish - cracked (fried) conch, conch salad, conch fritters. Conch salad is kind of like ceviche.

Guava Duff is a popular Bahamian dessert.

At John Watling's, get a mojito. I've heard their daiquiris are good too, if you like frozen drinks.
