Odessa.

Has anyone been to Odessa recently. Just wondering what the price of food and drinks are. Also, can you use Euro's.

Not sure how you will get here. As most cruises are not going to Istanbul and going through the Bosporus into the Black sea. So Odessa is off most itinerary.

Which company/ line are you looking at?

If you get to Ukraine then Euros are not widely accepted if at all.

I was not there recently, but I was there on a Black Sea cruise in August 2013.

 

I cannot remember if Euros were accepted, but we walked off the ship and found an ATM to withdraw the local currency. If you go to a bank, you will need to present your passport.

 

Food and drinks were relatively inexpensive. We had breakfast and dinner on the ship, but we went to a cafe for lunch, and I do not think it cost more than $20 for the two of us.

Thanks for the replies. I friend of mine asked me to find out the cost of food and drinks etc. He is going to Odessa in December. He is flying there :eek:

We were in Odessa on a Black Sea cruise in 2013. We had a great private local tour with the firm Odessa Walks. Great tour.

 

Odessa is not expensive.
