Were flying direct from Toronto, surprisingly doesn't get too much snow, the only alternative we had was paying a thousand more for the day before with 2 connections lol I'm feeling okay with the risk, will be happier once on board though.

Yeah, Puerto Rico is really pricey to get to, and then add a stay overnight to that and it adds up. We stayed an extra 3 nights last year to make the longer flight worth it, and will do the same this summer to justify the airfare.

I agree on the flights. We can usually fly to FL for about 300 pp. San Juan is $500, add in a few nights hotel and we are at $1385.
