Verizon gift cards

I was thinking about purchasing gift cards thru Verizon. If we apply those gift cards onboard but don't use all of our on board credit (we have 50 obc from booking also). What will be our options after? Will they just give us a gift card back? Thanks!

OBC is automatically used first then your alternate funding source will be used next.

 

If you don't use all of the GC value then you can typically request cash back, even though the terms of GC on your S&S account says unused funds will be issued back in the form of a GC.

Oh ok....I wanted to buy a little more than I think is needed but didn't want to get stuck.....has anyone personally death with this before? How would I request it?

Go to guest services on the final night of the cruise.

I have seen several posts suggesting to go to the casino the last night, put the balance of your account on a slot machine, do one pull, then cash it out at the cashier's window. That way you get the balance in cash instead of another Carnival gift card. I will definitely try that in December. :)

On my Dream cruise I have a balance of $345 left from GC. Within 2 weeks Carnival sent me a Check for $300 and a GC for $45.

I know i have $1500 in GC for my cruise next week and $100 OBC. All of it will be loaded onto the account. I will cash out $500 asap from the casino for spending money @ the ports. The rest will be cashed out the final night. I don't want them to dictate what form it comes back in.

Yes this is what I have done more times than once. It`s very easy to do and your money is returned in cash, if that`s what you prefer.

i just purchase numerous $100. I wait til the last night of the cruise and see what my balance bill is and then apply just enough GC to cover it. no reason to apply them early.

That's a great idea. I never thought to go to the casino & take out my remainder in cash.
