ChucktownSteve Posted November 3, 2016 #26 Share Posted November 3, 2016 Two more questions for you Charleston Folks: The Oyster House or Pearlz Oyster Bar? Where do the locals go to eat good Southern Style Food in the Historical District? What's your dinner budget?
Cincy Gal Posted November 3, 2016 #27 Share Posted November 3, 2016 What's your dinner budget? No budget really, we are foodies, and enjoy a great meal. Not looking for fancy/expensive, looking for true southern experience.
ChucktownSteve Posted November 3, 2016 #28 Share Posted November 3, 2016 (edited) You might check out Cru Cafe. From their web site, "off the beaten path in a classic 18th century Charleston single-style home. Cru Café and its award-winning Cru Catering division are consistently ranked as top eateries by locals and tourists alike." Check out their rating on TripAdvisor. Pearlz is also very popular. I'm not familiar with the Oyster House. I don't think it's that old. Another interesting restaurant is Poogan's Porch on Queen Street. They claim it's haunted. Poogan was the dog that lived on the porch. That restaurant has been in business since 1976 and is an old staple. Pearl64 Posted November 16, 2016 #29 Share Posted November 16, 2016 We absolutely love the Cru Cafe! Make reservations though as the restaurant does not seat many. Pearl
