Cozumel Dune Buggy Snorkel & Beach excursion - manual or automatic?

Recommended Posts

Has anyone taken the RCCL Dune Buggy Snorkel & Beach excursion from RCCL in Cozumel? If so, do you know if the dune buggies are standard or automatic transmission? Also, how many guests do the dune buggies hold? We called RCCL but they did not have an answer to the question. Thanks!

Look for a more recent experience than mine, but in 2012 it was manual transmission and it held 4 people. They do change venders and equipment a lot, so if someone who has done with more recent than me, go with what they say!

We just took that excursion, which had both Jeeps and buggies.

Older equipment, they hold 4 and where all manual.

The excursion however was excellent!

Same for me, Mine had severe steering slop, which meant avoiding potholes was impossible, but as long as you weren't in city traffic, it was drivable.

Do they allow two people in a buggy if we don't want to ride with others?

When we did it they put four to a buggy, luckily the two women they put with us did not want to drive, so they sat in the back the whole time. I would imagine it will depend on how full the excursion is.
