If you look down the board, you will see this discussion very regularly. The common recommendation is to stay in the Ft Lauderdale area, as it is cheaper. There are MANY threads on hotel recommendations.

Then, the day of your cruise, shuttle to the Port of Miami. Again, there are MANY threads on recommended shuttles...names like SAS, QLS, Go Shuttle, Jiffy Jeff, and a few more.

Cheapest transportation from ft laud to Miami is the tri rail system it will cost about $4 pp then take an uber from train sta to the pom

Good advice if you are trying to get to the MIA airport, not so good if heading to POM -- when you get off the train in Miami you will still be a $27 cab ride from the port.

Common advice here is to stay in the FLL area where hotels are cheaper than comparable properties in Miami; http://www.sunny.org has lots of FLL area tourist and hotel info.

The morning of your cruise there are lots of shuttles that will take you to POM for about $15 per person - SAS, QLS, MJS and Go Airport are the most often suggested.

Best kept secret in Ft Laud is Cambria Suites off Stirling Road in Dania - not far from the airport, Then we always take Jiffy Jeff Transportation to the Port of Miami for $15pp. They are very reliable and have great drivers. Very nice clean Marcedes Vans. http://www.gojiffyjeff.com. Ft Laud is much cheaper to fly into and stay at and much nicer than Miami.

Hello' date='

We're considering flying into FLL the day before a cruise out of POM. Are there any recommendations for hotels and transportation.

Thank you![/quote']

What time does your flight arrive at FLL? On what date?

There's a big difference in recommendations whether you arrive at 10:00 AM or 10:00 PM. How many are in your party? One size does not fit all.
