(well behaved) Teenage boys - activities

Hello Hello!

New here and just booked our very first cruise, I'm still buzzing with just booked excitement and we booked 2 days ago now! :)

We are cruising with our two boys and just wondered if anyone could shed any light on what their own boys did on board?

I see there's a teenager's hang out with clubs for certain ages. One of our boys is in one teen age group and the other one is in the other unfortunately - would there be opportunity to do things together, at least at first to get over their shyness?

What about sports? Are teens allowed to take part in these onboard or are there things just for over 18s?

Thank you so much for reading - and thank you again if anyone can give any insight! :)

We cruised with our 2 teenagers (13 & 15) and they had the best time of their lives, they were able to do the same activities, which mainly involved supervised social fun at "kids club" They got to bed after us every night. We bought a voucher which allowed every one in the family unlimited use of the F1 race car simulator, 4D movies and bowling ally. I have book another cruise just because the kids loved it so much!

Frozone, my kids will be 13 & 15 when we go in April. I've read that there is 1 teen club for both, graffiti, I've also read that there is 1 for 12-14 and 15-17. I'd like them in the same club if possible. What was your experience with this? One club or two or did it even matter? Thanks

Thanks, we are on Divina. Two families, my two kids 13 & 15 and my niece also 15. Did u take advantage of the teen card as well. The ad I saw is in Euro's but its something like buy a teen card for 50 euro and they load it with 60.

No we didn't. We had bought the premium drink package, which we will defiantly do again, so the kids (and us) could have what ever they wanted drinks, food, gelato, pastry, room service, mini bar snacks wise. So after buying the entertainment voucher (£55 for the whole family) there really was nothing else they could spend money on, except the arcade games, the F1 simulator, bowling ally and 4D movies was so much better than arcade games any way.

Thanks again. We are all getting a 12 drink voucher with the package we selected. I was going to use the teen card for anything else the kids may want to purchase while on board. Did your kids enjoy the teen activities? We were on Carnival over the summer and our kids won't stop talking about all the fun they had and the kids they meet.

You have the same concern as me then, Jcollin, good to read that our boys (and your children) will be able to socialise together despite being in different age groups :)

You're on the Divina in April? So are we, we board our cruise on the first of April - our first ever cruise adventure!! :)

Frozone, we have the standard all inclusive drinks package (the one which comes with the Aurea experience) I hope we don't regret upgrading to Premium..... I'm sure it will be fine, hey, I'm going on my first cruise, and I'm happy!!! LOL :D

Clovelle, you wont regret upgrading to premium. It was such a spoil to have absolutely top shelf drinks, and all the treats that it affords. We certainly got our moneys worth and more. It made the cruise hassle free with no surprises at the end.

I was also concern about that before we left but my kids spent all their time together, so the don't seem to enforce the age limits. Which ship are you cruising on?

did they let your kids to be in same group or they been in different groups who shared same room ? As much as I know they enforce age limits for many reasons.

It's is valid for USA cruises

here is a screen shot of the current info on the USA web site

It says that you apply once on board the ship
