Snorkeling at Eden Rock

Eden Rock is a fairly long swim BUT if you want to do shore line swimming in the area where you enter the water to go out to Eden Rock, you can do that for sure. Plenty to see. If you are a beginner, you will be amazed, if you are experienced, then head out to Eden Rock. We spent half our time snorkeling around the shore (we went from Paradise Grill) and the other half out at Eden Rock.

At Paradise Grill they feed the tarpon, so you can swim./snorkel with these huge fish as well. Pretty cool experience!

In the photo, you can see Paradise Grill & Eden Rock Dive Center. You can see where the shoreline is not sand, there is plenty to see for beginners. You can also see the bigger reef system out farther in the water.

This is great info, thank you! Is there a charge to snorkel from Paradise Grill? We have our own equipment.

No, but it's a restaurant/grill. Last time we were there, they gave us a table in which we could keep our "stuff" and then we ordered snacks and drinks throughout the day. We spent a good 4-5 hrs there. Enjoyed it a lot. Not quite as well as Sunset House, but it's a bit closer, so decided to try it.

There is a shower and some primitive lockers as well, so you can buy a locker for a few $$ and store your valuables there while you snorkel. We opted for a table so we could order food and just keep our stuff there. They "watched" it for us, but we didn't have anything of value, really. Just a beach bag with towels, (we have our own gear as well) and our cruise cards and a little bit of cash.
