jalbertfarm Posted December 1, 2016 #2 Share Posted December 1, 2016 We are sailing January 15th on Freedom of the Seas. We are booked the night before at The Dolphin Hollywood Beach. We have never stayed there before but we have stayed at the Rip Tide on Hollywood Beach. It's only about a 10 min drive from the cruise port. And the Beach and Broadwalk are spectacular!! jlszarejko Posted December 1, 2016 Author #3 Share Posted December 1, 2016 Thanks but this is the Puerto Rico thread lol. We are not sailing from Florida although that would be a ton cheaper
Bostongalpal16 Posted December 1, 2016 #4 Share Posted December 1, 2016 I like to stay in the Condado area. Ashford Ave has a strip of hotels (Marriott, La Concha) that are on the beach. Plenty of restaurants around too. And a short cab ride to the port! Sent from my iPhone using Forums

leahlefler Posted December 1, 2016 #6 Share Posted December 1, 2016 We are also sailing on 18 February. We snagged great rates at the Hyatt House in San Juan. We managed to get it for $93 per night, but that wss several months ago do not sure what the current rates might be. jlszarejko Posted December 1, 2016 Author #7 Share Posted December 1, 2016 Thanks I'll look at that one. Right now we are booked at the Embassy Suites. Not sure where that is located in reference to the port??
Ashland Posted December 1, 2016 #8 Share Posted December 1, 2016 You'll be sailing out of the Pan American pier.....We opted to stay in Old San Juan at the Sheraton...but that was our preference for pre-cruise.
leahlefler Posted December 1, 2016 #9 Share Posted December 1, 2016 The port is almost within walking distance from the Hyatt House - at least from what I have researched (this is the Pan Am pier, not the one in Old San Juan). The negative about the Hyatt House is that it is NOT in OSJ or on the beach - so you have to take a taxi in to those area. We were looking solely for cost for our pre-cruise hotel, though. Staying in OSJ would probably be a lot nicer!

pdc2013 Posted December 4, 2016 #11 Share Posted December 4, 2016 As far as a beach hotels i would stay in Isla Verde. I cannot tell people enough to stay in Old San Juan. I loved walking around and taking my time, since i had plenty of other days to be at the beach. Mostly boutique hotels other than the Sheraton right at the pier.
