Shark Ray Alley, private or through RCCL?

We are considering this excursion for our cruise in late January. Looking for the best private tour operator and reviews. We will consider going through Royal, but would like to hear from someone who has done it through the ship. Just a little leery booking privately because of tendering. Thanks

We did Caye Caulker/Shark Ray Alley with Coral Breeze in November. They were very careful to get us back to the port in time. We enjoyed the excursion. The boat ride over to Caye Caulker was quite choppy on the day that we went. We have been to Belize at least 3 other times, and always do a tour through the ship so that we do not have to tender, but get picked up at the ship. Princess did not offer Caye Caulker, so we went with Coral Breeze. We made sure to get up early to get one of the first tenders off of the ship, so that we would make the tour.
