McKinley and Denali Princess Lodges?

All of you with previous experience: I understand all buildings are serviced by a shuttle service so that long walks are at your desire, not necessary? Have also read that some residential buildings are two-story? Does this mean that there is a chance of being assigned a second-story room? If climbing stairs can be a problem, need for prior arrangement?

Much thanks,

DJ:)

We have stayed at the Denali Princess multiple times through the years and McKinley View Princess approximately four times.

While the McKinley View Princess has some single floor housing the bulk of the guest room buildings are two floor. We did stay in one of the single floor buildings in 2015 (which had very poor sound proofing) but other times we've been in the two floor buildings (with perfectly adequate sound proofing), but always on the ground floor. So I don't remember if those buildings have an elevator. There is definitely a shuttle which loops around the McKinley View property with the shuttle stops marked on a map and clearly signed. The guest parking is distributed through the McKinley View property and at least some of those shuttle stops are near the guest parking lots.

The Denali Princess complex is now considerably larger as it has grown through the years. While the McKinley Princess complex has also expanded, the Denali complex seems somewhat more "hodgepodge" in its organization. If there are any single floor guest housing buildings we have never stayed in one, and the bulk of the guest housing is in two story buildings. And at least some of the two story Denali guest lodging buildings do not have an elevator as we have stayed in them (in rooms on the second floor).

We do not have mobility issues, but I would guess that guests with mobility issues staying at either of these complexes should request ground floor lodging.
