Jade -- good/bad

Anyone been on the Jade recently who can tell me the good/bad points? How does this ship compare to the Gem?

 

Looking at doing a booking but not sure if I want to sail on the Jade.

Just off on Sunday. Very similar to Gem - the shops & Medusa lounge are switched. Jade is going into dry dock shortly so any issues should be solved then.

Gem is the last of Jewel class ships, there are some features like interactive TV system that other Jewel class ships don't have. Otherwise all four (Jewel, Pearl, Jade, Gem) are almost identical besides decor details and the placement of shops/lounge like already mentioned.

Just got off on Sunday. I've never been on the Gem so can't compare but my only negative was that things were looking tired and worn - furniture and carpet specifically need upgrading. Also the pool area looked bad as the slide was under construction which made it very ugly. As other poster mentioned it should be fine after the dry dock that is scheduled. Overall we loved the ship though and especially impressed with the food. This was our 7th cruise with NCL and thought the food was amazing this time.
