Taking a bottle of liquid supplement (non-prescription) on board

Recommended Posts

Hi all,

Has anyone had any experience taking liquid supplements (i.e., liquid fish oil) on board? I assume that if someone had a liquid prescription, there would be no problem taking it on the ship, but since fish oil is only a supplement and not a prescription, I was wondering if Royal Caribbean would treat it differently.

If it would make a difference, the bottle could be a "fresh" unopened package, so there would be less likelihood that they would think its smuggled booze.

Before anyone suggests it, due to medical reasons, can only take liquid medicine, not pill form, hence the need for liquid fish oil.

Any thoughts appreciated! :)

That makes no diff to the xray operator - they just flag it to the naughty room if it looks suspicious. You should not have an issue bringing that on board.
