cello56 Posted February 5, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 5, 2017 We have family on Carnival Sunshine doing a back to back right now. Next Saturday, on turnaround day, does anyone know if they can get off the ship and treat this as a port day? We would like to drive over, pick them up, and go out to lunch with them. Second question, if we take them to Publix can they buy 2 more bottles of wine and bring them on for their second leg of their cruise? Thank you for any help on these questions. jh2360 Posted February 5, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 5, 2017 You can. You should get a card or something saying something about you being in transit. And yes to your second question as well. Sent from my Pixel using Forums mobile app

easyboy Posted February 5, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 5, 2017 They just need to bring the transit card to get off. Getting onboard on the 2nd leg is also an embarkation so they can bring the allowed wine.

cloudninecat Posted February 5, 2017 #6 Share Posted February 5, 2017 Yes, just show the In Transit card when you get back on and they'll wave you on through. Yes you can bring on more soda and wine.
PlanoDebbie Posted February 6, 2017 #7 Share Posted February 6, 2017 Yup! We did a B2B Alaskan cruise a few years ago. We opted to stay on our ship in Whittier because it was cold and raining, nothing to do in port, and very few excursions. It was kind of nice for about 6 hours to have only about 25 passengers on the ship with us.
