Allyce21 Posted February 20, 2017 #1 Share Posted February 20, 2017 We are booked in a FWD ocean view cabin (8528) for April 2nd on Oasis of the seas and I am a little concerned if there is a lot of motion? I'm prone to slight sea sickness in rough seas. We have always stayed mid ship and I haven't had an issue but since we booked so late only FWD was available. I have also heard with the size of the ship it shouldn't be an issue but is anyone ever stayed in this area of the Oasis? leaveitallbehind Posted February 20, 2017 #2 Share Posted February 20, 2017 As the Oasis class ships are the largest cruise ships in the world and are also well stabilized, the relative effect of the motion might be less than other ships. That being said, the stabilizers mainly counteract side to side, or roll, motion. Up and down motion from head on seas will still be present to some degree - and that will be most noticeable in the front of the ship. The times we have been on Oasis class ships we have felt little or no motion because of their size and favorable seas, so hopefully it won't be an issue with you. cb at sea Posted February 23, 2017 #4 Share Posted February 23, 2017 Just remember, during the majority day, you will be all over the ship...not sitting in the cabin!
