Signature Drink Package for certain days?

This will be our first time cruising with HAL. Can I purchase the Signature Drink package for just part of the cruise. Thinking I might like it for the sea days, but not so much on port days.

 

Also, do I understand correctly that a bottle of liquor can be purchased onboard and taken to your room? That way, I could just mix my own drinks?

No you can not buy the Signature Beverage Package for just certain days. It has to be bought for the entire cruise. And each person over the age of 21 in the cabin must buy the package. No sharing.

Yes you can buy alcohol for your cabin. You can either order it online at HAL's site, from room service or from Ship Service at 1-800-541-1576. You can not buy a bottle of alcohol from the Duty Free shop on the ship or bring your own bottle onto the ship.

Just to clarify what I bolded above, you can purchase duty free liquor on the ship but you won't be allowed to drink it on the ship (unless you drink it on the last night of your cruise!); I'm sure that's what KK meant to say. You won't receive your duty free liquor purchases until the end of the cruise so that it can be packed into your luggage.

First two days, but it's back dated. You don't save anything and you have the hassle of trying to get your drinks adjusted.
