Ramada Plaza Fort Lauderdale Hotel and Resort

Hi, does anyone know anything about this hotel? I am staying there for one night before my cruise. Got the room from a bidding site and didn't know what it was until I was awarded it. The reviews are pretty bad, has anyone on here stayed there before? Thank you!

While I cannot comment on the hotel itself, it is in the City of Tamarac, northwest of Fort Lauderdale. It is not in the greatest part of town, not near anything interesting or convenient, and it is approximately 30 minutes from FLL and Port Everglades. The beach is 20 minutes east - Lauderdale by the Sea - lots of restaurants, bars, shops, and a great beach.

It's OK, the area is OK, but calling it a resort is a terrible joke. It's an ordinary motel in the middle of a suburb.

No, it's not going to surprise you, but I don't think it will be a horrible experience. I just hope you got a good deal.

Actually, you probably paid an extra $5 or so hidden in the fees and taxes. Still, $54 is a pretty good deal, but it's going to cost you extra to get there and back. I would suggest a rental car. What are your dates? What time does your flight arrive?

 

Just contact the hotel directly and make sure they have your reservation.
