After an unusually cold and record setting wet Winter really pretty mornings like today are special. The Space Needle webcam has great views of Mt. Rainier, the Olympics and even Mt. Baker and Glacier Peak. All with all their winter snow pack and fresh snow from yesterday. A little chilly out but at least sunny. Enjoy while it lasts because it won't be long.

It indeed was a beautiful day here in the Pacific Northwest today. We got a lot of yard work done today. Now the rains have returned for the next 5 days.

I did not realize that there was a web cam in Seattle.

One cool feature... when you cruise from Seattle you can use the archives to go back and view your own sailaway after you return home. Basically a series of still pics about 10 minutes apart but you can then screen clip/snip the ship pulling out. Both piers are visible. I had a question about arrival times for HAL's Sunday cruises last year so viewed all of them pull in promptly at 6:10 am all season.

For those who might care to.... spinning the webcam archive to today (4/12) at 3:10 PM will reward you with a double rainbow over Lake Union. The upper bow is a little hard to make out but it is there. We used to call May "Rainbow Month" but looks like they've arrived a little early this year. ;)

It was the warmest day since Oct 15th-56Degrees. Rained returned that night and has been raining since with cool temperatures in the 40's. The 10 day outlook calls for rain and below normal temperatures. Hopefully by the start of the cruise season, it will warm up and the rains will ease.
