Personal Drop-off at FLL

We will be sailing April 30 on Allure of the Seas. We are staying in town the night before and will be taking a taxi/uber to port Sunday morning. My question... we have a couple joining us that will be dropped off by a family member coming from Tampa. Is the process any different for a private vehicle trying to drive into port for drop off than a cab? Is there anything the driver will need besides their license?

No problem, private vehicles pick up and drop off all the time.

(y) I have dropped my wife and friends off a couple times. No issues at all. Just follow signs, instructions, etc.

As mentioned follow signs. Advise passengers to make sure they are leaving their bags with the right ship's porters. Depending when they arrive, things can be hectic.

It is wise to have Passports and cruise documents easily available if the Port's Security Officers request to see them. Sometimes they do; most of the time they don't.
