After my usual 6 hours of rest suddenly remembered had the behind the scenes tour. Had to kick the kids out of bed and tell my BIL he was stuck going too.

 

We met in the Supper Club and after a great history lesson about NCL (which was actually really interesting especially the ship progression) and also all the logo changes.

We got to see some really amazing things. Everything is so well run, cleanliness is evident everywhere, and the crew even behind the curtain was friendly. Everyone smiled and said hello.

Pastry area

Bakery none of the bread is frozen all is fresh made each day. (French bread machine)

Ice sculpture ice. The freezer was kept at -25 Celsius.

For the gym it opens at 6h00 and you will be ok if u don't show too late. They have rowing I remember but not 100% sure.

They have a lot of threadmills and ellipticals on the right.

The behind the scenes tour is held on a couple different days. Platinum members get it for free. Otherwise you need to book it at the shore excursions desk. Around $80 each.

Wow. This looks like at least double or triple the size of Getaway and Breakaway. They had just one row and maybe 20 total. Ghis looks great! Thanks!!

It is much larger. I was on the Getaway last September and the gym was almost embarrassingly small.

We got an invitation to enjoy the District Brew House. Some of the officers joined us. Having so many beers to chose from is amazing. And I have to give another shout out to Thedougout!!!

Saw the comedy show last night and Frank Townsend. He was fantastic and had the adults and the kids cracking up.

After that we decided the GLOW party was next on the itinerary!!!!

 

And I guess a lot of people are reading my posts because they ran out of Red Bull!!! WHAT!?!??

Today was a menagerie of things to do. The guys had a dudes day and went to Junkanoo Beach. The teenagers (16&17) went shopping with a friend and his parents. The young girls and moms stayed aboard the ship for the day.

Then walking along the waterfront found this amazing guy making conch salad. Quick recommendation, if you find a place anywhere in the Caribbean that the locals are eating at go there!

Our final night on the ship was great. I managed to check off my final bar and wore the right shirt!!!

Everyone was pretty tired except the older teenagers who stayed out till 1 am.

 

We all sat down to a delicious breakfast from Savor. It's a nice break from the crowds and hectic ship.

We were lucky enough to run into the best Cruise Director on the seas Andre!!!
