Bus suggestions from Lahaina

The last time we were in Lahaina for the day, we bought a bus pass and took the public bus to the Maui Ocean Center in the morning and to Kaanapali Beach in the afternoon. Would like suggestions on where to take the bus to this time. We are interested in scenery, nature and history and perhaps a little beach time. We are in port next month on May 4 from 8 am to 11 pm.

As commonly discussed here, there is the Road to Hana, Iao Valley, and even Haleakala. I would suggest a rental car- a bus isn't going to cover those areas.
