Faster to the fun. You pay to have priority embarkation, debarkation, dedicated line at guest services and priority tendering if you have a tender port. You also can access your cabin early. I am platinum so I get all this without paying. It wasn't in effect before I became Platinum so I never used it. People will tell you it's not worth the money other people will say they won't sail without it. I like getting to my cabin immediately upon boarding so I can drop off my carry ons.
