NeepierRoad Posted November 22, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 22, 2005 I live in South Florida and my BF recently got a fishing boat which we have taken out in the ocean for fishing a couple times. Each time was a Sunday around 1:00 p.m. or 2:00 p.m, just east of the Hillsboro Inlet, and there has been a Carnival ship moving north to south on the horizon. It's driving me crazy as to which ship this is and where is it coming from and going to? Anyone have any ideas? I just like to be informed! Thanks, Carol
big_duck Posted November 22, 2005 #2 Share Posted November 22, 2005 The only thing I can think of would be the Glory leaving Nassau (2 PM every second Sunday).
NeepierRoad Posted November 22, 2005 Author #3 Share Posted November 22, 2005 Hmmm, it was definitely during the 1:00 p.m. hour. Because of daylight savings, would that make it 2:00 p.m. in the Bahamas? I'm going to look that up now. Thanks big duck!
jetskier Posted November 22, 2005 #4 Share Posted November 22, 2005 My guess would be the Carnival Celebration out of Jacksonville, FL which leaves out on a Sat every other weekend. It is going to Key West and Nassau. The only other possibility would be the Glory out of Port Canaveral but it should be out of the area at the times you stated. NeepierRoad Posted November 22, 2005 Author #5 Share Posted November 22, 2005 The Bahamas are in the same time zone. Perhaps next time we're out in the boat, I'll suggest we get a closer look...or binoculars! Good thing Christmas is coming! Jabee Posted November 23, 2005 #6 Share Posted November 23, 2005 on the Celebration on Sunday, January 1.... If you see me waving at you...at 1:00... then you will know which ship it is!!!
damonadrienne Posted November 23, 2005 #7 Share Posted November 23, 2005 I have way too much time on my hands.... Just looked at the ports on Carnival's website and my not-an-expert opinion says it must be the Celebration that leaves Jacksonville on Saturday. The next time you see the ship should be Dec. 4. zebster15 Posted November 23, 2005 #8 Share Posted November 23, 2005 Could be the Celebration or the Fascination doing the 'Fun Day at Sea'.

We were on Celebration last week. She was within sight of the FL coast all day Sunday. I think W. Palm Be. around 2:30 and Miami around 3:30. We were en-route to Key west for a Monday shore day.
