flyingandcruising Posted May 12, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 12, 2017 First time cruising on NCL and have a few breakaway questions. 1. What time do they typically start boarding at NYC 2. What time are the cabins usually ready? Thanks

Rare BirdTravels Posted May 12, 2017 #5 Share Posted May 12, 2017 Thanks, Also what is the difference between the three MDR other than the music in the Manhattan? are the menu's the same? More like 11:30 for general boarding. You board by group number (first come first serve). There are groups that have priority boarding including Suites, casino guests, Latitudes Ambassador/Platinum Plus/Platinum that will board before general boarding. We normally show up at the port around 10:15 to avoid the long check-in lines (4000+ people have to get checked in) Rooms are usually ready around 1 pm. NCL respectfully asks that you do not go to your rooms until the cruise director announces that they are ready. The food in the MDR are essentially the same. The Manhattan room is much larger and feels more formal that Taste and Savor. Other complimentary dining rooms include O'Shehans, Shanghai Noodle Bar, and the buffet.
