sgh20037 Posted May 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted May 21, 2017 I know it's early but the question does keep popping up in my head as far as clothing etc on what to pack Our cruise starts in Auckland 1st week in November and ends in Sydney last week of November. Would I be safe to pack half & half for warm/cool weather? (Our only stops in Australia are Melbourne, eden, Hobert and Sydney ). Rare OzKiwiJJ Posted May 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted May 21, 2017 Pack layers. NZ is likely to be quite cool, even cold during the Fiordland scenic cruising where you want to be out on deck - so pack a warm hat, scarf and gloves as well. Tasmania could also be cool and mainland Australia could be anything from pleasantly warm to stinking hot (but that is less likely in November). We did NZ over Christmas 2015 and had very variable weather. I take mostly warm weather clothes but add some warm layers - long sleeved tshirt, light jumper, light fleece and a good rain jacket (essential). CruiserBruce Posted May 21, 2017 #3 Share Posted May 21, 2017 You could do a simple Google search of a few of your ports, for the actual facts (most anything here will be anecdotal info) of weather averages....
sgh20037 Posted May 21, 2017 Author #4 Share Posted May 21, 2017 thank you - I had a feeling it would be very much like here in So. Calif - in other words, for that time of year, anything goes! Layering is the way to go.
