Booked in married name, ID in old name

I was literally pulled off of line at the port in Norfolk VA because my long hyphenated name did not fit on my booking papers. So my license and booking papers did not 100% match, but it was clear that the tickets cut off the last few letters of my name. I had to explain to security that the ticket was booked in the proper name but that it just didn't print out. I got an escort to the ticket desk to verify. So, in other words, make sure that everything matches 100 per cent.

Good call on changing the name on the reservation. No matter what anyone said all it takes is one person to say no and you have a ruined vacation. My wife's passport is very yellow in color as the ribbon seems to have been bad when it was printed we get hassled about it at times by people but point out that she has been in and out of the country several times with it and let us go. If I have seen it when she first got it I would have sent it back. One airport person, immigration agent etc.. is all it takes.
