Smoke smell on Independence of the Seas

Recommended Posts

What is this ship like for smells of tobacco smoke? Does the smoking in the casino impact any other areas of the ship? Are any balcony cabins above promenade smoking areas adversely affected by the smell of smoke?

Many thanks in advance for any relevant information.

Are you cruising out of UK? If you are casino is no smoking. Only one side of the Promenade deck is smoking so get a balcony on the other side.

Really? I didn't realise that the casino was smoke free on UK cruises?!! Just off Norwegian Jade, where the smell pervaded the front staircase and was even evident inside the theatre.

Does anyone happen to know what side of the promenade is the smoking side?

This has been the case for many years on Independence once she arrives for the UK season the casino becomes smoke free.

I can never remember which side is for smoking on the Promenade deck but on deck 11 it is port side.

Just off the Indy this weekend.

The only problem I found was the smell in around Boleros bar as the doors frequently open near the bar.

My big issue externally was that the coffee station on the pool deck (11) was situated on the smoking side, when really it should be on the opposite site around the towel station

That's very useful, thanks.
