nancydow Posted June 21, 2017 #1 Share Posted June 21, 2017 Sorry to post this here, but I have only really gambled at sea (particularly with NCL CAS for almost two years) and I'm about to go on my first sponsored land-based casino junket trip to the Seneca Niagara Falls (they're paying for my airfare, ground transportation, hotel, and meals). Not to sound dumb, but what should I expect to be different? Will the dealers be less friendly? Other players too? Will they have Ultimate Texas Hold'em? I don't think I'm ready to go head to head with real poker card sharks. Should I just stick to the slots? Any advice would be welcomed. (And again I apologize if this is inappropriate.) Thank you, ~ Nancy :)
vache Posted June 21, 2017 #2 Share Posted June 21, 2017 Hi Nancy- I gamble both on sea and land (more on land). I have taken the junket trips before through MGM. Great time, everything handled well, always fun times and a wider selections of machines. I find the land casinos great in my opinion. People are your normal casino players and relatively everyone is just having fun. I'm not a poker player so I can't tell you the vibe at the tables but I'm sure you will have a good time. Slots have always been better to me in land based casinos. I always pull up the gaming commission reports on payout percentages for each cit/state we visit. Have fun and enjoy the free trip. garycarla Posted September 27, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 27, 2017 You will be among all the "regular" guests. The junket folks just get mixed in.
