Icy Straight Point: Which wildlife tour?

Looking at 2 possible tours:

 

Hoonah Travel Adventures: Wilderness Tour and Brown Bear Search

and

Icy Straight Point: Spasski River Valley Wildlife and Bear Search

 

Does any one have any experience with either one?

We did the Wilderness Tour and Brown Bear Search with Hoonah Travel Adventures a month ago. They have a permit that allows them to go farther into Tongass National Forest than most of the other tour operators, increasing your chances of seeing bears. Our guide was a native Tlingit Indian and he shared lot of information about his culture. Unfortunately, we did not see any bears. Our guide was in radio/phone contact with several other tour operators and apparently nobody saw bears on that particular day. In spite of the fact that we didn't see any bears that day, I would recommend Hoonah Travel Adventures and I would use them again.

We did the bear search with the Brown Bear Lodge. Kenny will email you back right away with price and info where to meet. We saw a few bears and lot of wild life we went this past May. Did not see any in the streams because the salmon were not running yet but we saw them alonf side of the road eating skunk cabbage.
