Chef's Table seating times (FotS)

Oasis or Allure pre drydock. It used to be in the area above the main lounge. Library reference gives it away. [emoji12]

Oh that's right!! That was years ago!! :o

That upstairs area was mostly used as storage during the day, and set up for Chef's Table events at night when it was the concierge lounge in there, before it became the now very well used DL (having to utilize that upstairs (loft) area for more seating).

The new location of Chef's Table is kind of odd placement in the SL...it could use some partial walls or panels IMHO to isolate it a bit from CK and the SL.

Another change was that the library is also now used as the LA desk area. Talking to the LA in there one day, a grouchy lady yelled at us..."This is a library!!" She barked.:mad:

It was Allure, but just last December (2016). It was on the upper floor of the Concierge Lounge. There is a big table there.

Interesting, I thought it moved upstairs to the SL/CK as part of drydock

Hmmm..interesting indeed. I know for sure it is in a portion of CK/SL on Oasis and has been for a long time. Have

not been on Allure (for us...why travel to FLL when Oasis is in our back yard. ;))

We have done the Chef's table 3 times. On both the Grandeur and the Vision we met at 6:30 in the R bar. We were seated for dinner by 6:45. The dining venue was a private room at the back of the main dining room.

On the Liberty, we met at Giovanni's Table. We were there at 6:30, and stood by the hostess station for about 20 minutes waiting for the other guests to arrive. We were seated and then waited until 7:30 for dinner to begin. They closed that side of the Windjammer for the dinner. Not the best venue, but the company, food and wine made up for it.

Going to do it again when we sail on the Grandeur in September.

As Bob said, AO may take the kid early, you can also get in room babysitting until AO opens.

Enjoy

Laurie

Just ate at Chef's Table on Allure last nite. It was an 8:30 seating. We met on deck 11 by the library at 8:20 and were escorted in to the 2nd floor of the DL which is next door. There were only 5 in our seating so it was very intimate. One was a crew member who was a dealer in the casino so made for very interesting conversations. The food and wines were absolutely amazing. It was interesting to learn about the wines and how they were chosen and from the chef on how the dishes were prepared. It did take awhile. We were finished about 11 but the time flew.
