MomC Posted November 30, 2005 #1 Share Posted November 30, 2005 Last week, November 22, 30 of us chartered the White Squall 2 in Tortola and had a day sail to other islands to snorkel. We had hoped to go to the baths, but the water was too rough over there. Instead we went to Norman Island and had great snorkeling, a great barbecue lunch, and 8 hours on the boat for only $90 per person--about $30 more than the cruise ship charges for 4 hours and no lunch--and we had beer, wine, water, soda and rum punch provided as well as snorkeling equipment and crew guides in the water. The ship is an 80 ft. schooner with sails and a crew of 4 who catered to our every whim. All 30 of us agreed that it was the highlight of our 10 day Caribbean cruise. We can heartily recommend the ship and her crew. White Squall 2 is on the general information thread. Linda
jimbug Posted December 16, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 16, 2005 Thanks for posting your review. We are booked with White Squall 2 in March, and can't wait. I toyed between doing a daysail in St. Thomas or Tortola, and chose Tortola because we'd get to see the baths and we didn't know what else to do there.
