totally confused on how to do things such as getting to be part of roll call etc.

It has taken me about an hour trying to find the "new thread".

 

I am new to this program and thought I might try it out with our next cruise Jan 7 on the Infinity.

 

Can someone help me figure out how to use this site.:(

If by chance this doesn't work, go back to the top and there should be a tab under boards that says roll calls. Click on Celebrity then on infinity then search for your roll call.

Start by going to the HOME page, hover over/and or click on any tab of interest to you and then drill down to the information you are seeking. Not hard, just play with the site. You already found the Celebrity portal and the new thread link.

If you look above your post you will see a light blue area; the 3rd heading is find your roll call. Click on there then select your cruise line. Then select the ship. That takes you to a list of all the roll calls for that ship, find the one with the date of your sailing.

 

To post on the Roll Call you hit the Post Reply button, even through you aren't t replying. In your post introduce yourself and explain you are new to Cruise Critic and are looking forward to meeting others. If you have a specific question about a port, transportation to/from the ship, etc feel free to ask.

Welcome to cruise critic.. The previous poster provided you with the link to your cruise and that is a great place to go for info and meeting the people on your cruise. You will probably see info on private excursions, cabin crawls and slot pulls which you can choose to join. Everything is voluntary of course. There will also probably be a sailaway party organized by someone. There is also the Celebrity Connections party which is run by Cruise Critic and Celebrity once you are on board. This is different from private parties set up on the roll call.

 

This board you are currently on is great for general questions regarding your Celebrity cruise. There are other boards on Cruise Critic which can be helpful. There is a departures board which can give you info on travel and hotel arrangements at your port of departure. Other boards can give you info on what to do and see at the particular ports of call. Just go to Cruise Critic Main page and there are loads of boards to look over.
