tailspintom Posted September 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted September 8, 2017 For those of you who have cruised Eastern Canada/Nova Scotia, please let me know if you would recommend cruising this area or would you recommend driving. Please respond ASAP! Thank you! Roadrunner Roadrunner, We have done both and all I can say is it is a whole different experience. Although we had taken weeks into Canada and enjoyed every single trip, cruising takes a goodly amount of fatigue out of the equation. What we have found is that the cruise is a way to assess whether we want to go back to an area for a more extended land trip. Without knowing what your own preferences are it will be near impossible for someone to advise you. I hope this helps a little.
skynight Posted September 8, 2017 #3 Share Posted September 8, 2017 Driving is more tiring, takes lots of planning, but you get to stay and see what you wish. We have driven to all the main ports in a Canada/New England cruise. With a cruise all is planned for you. You get to see usually one or two highlights at the ports. Cost, probably not a lot of difference.
Mr DK Posted September 8, 2017 #4 Share Posted September 8, 2017 We flew into NYC, rented a car and took 4 days to drive to QC, then boarded the ship. Best of both worlds. Sent from my iPad using Forums
