Alcohol Confiscation

NCL is more proactive than others. If spotted, your checked bag will be taken, and you will have to see the liquor police to retrieve it. Another thing with NCL is that if you buy liquor in the shops, you will get it back the night before you dis-embark. If bought in port or confiscated during embarkation, you will get it back the morning of disembarkation.

Just got back from Royal Caribbean and had no problem with the liquor in my checked luggage. I did have it in plastic bottles inside ziplocks. My fiance also brought on a 6 pack of beer in a bag and the scanners allowed it. If it was taken it would have been okay because we had it left over from the Hotel and just thought we would try. Also carried on one liter of diet coke and reg coke and it was allowed.
