Please could someone explain Nickle and dinning, I have not heard of it before.

It is an American slang term which means for a business to charge you a price for a product, but then to continuously bother you with many extra products and features that cost a little more, and a little more again, and a little more again, thereby increasing the overall price of the product substantially.

For example, your cruise is offered at a great deal for a balcony of $1200pp, and then there are the taxes and port fees of $120, and the gratuities on the liquor package at $150, and the gratuities on the dining package at $15.00, and then the daily service fee of $14 per person, per day, and then you get onboard and there is a room service fee, and excursions cost X, and your photo costs X, and so on and so on.
