nattsyster Posted October 8, 2017 #1 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Hey! After our transatlantic cruise with Navigator 6-18/11, we will hire a car in Miami and drive around Florida for about two weeks. We do not celebrate Thanksgiving in Sweden, so I do not know what to expect when it comes to hotels and traffic. Are people most at home on Thanksgiving or is it extra important to book hotels and is it especially busy on the road some days? We have hotel reservations in Key West 22-24 / 11 and will after that driving through the Everglades to the west side of Florida. Wondering if it's something special you can suggest as we should not miss on the road. We finish our roadtrip in New Orleans 1/12. Thanks Lena from Sweden
Andee Posted October 8, 2017 #2 Share Posted October 8, 2017 Thanksgiving is most commonly celebrated in homes, but people travel to get to their families. The Wednesday before and the Sunday after Thanksgiving are 2 of the busiest travel days of the year.
