thecoop Posted December 10, 2005 #1 Share Posted December 10, 2005 We are flying in from Maryland and want to know whether to pack sodas and take them with us or is there a store near wherever we get dropped off at the ship?
dnunan Posted December 11, 2005 #2 Share Posted December 11, 2005 coop, how are you getting to the cruise terminal from airport? my significant other works right nearby the cruise terminal...what day do you come in on?
Hulagirl Posted December 11, 2005 #3 Share Posted December 11, 2005 No, there is nothing near the cruise terminal to buy anything. This is in an industrial area, with nothing near by. Hulagirl
tequilasunrise Posted December 11, 2005 #4 Share Posted December 11, 2005 If you are getting a private cab from the airport, you could stop on the way to the terminal but it would be out of the way. Unfortunately, it is industrial in the neighborhood around as hulagirl said.
seattlekckckc Posted December 11, 2005 #5 Share Posted December 11, 2005 Rather than travel with anything heavy like that, I would recommend you go for some cab fare to go into Pioneer square or near the Stadium (less than $10), or wait until you get to the first port and pay the little higher prices and get soda there. I live 10 minutes from the pier, and the other posters are correct, it is very industrial right around there. Casey
thecoop Posted December 11, 2005 Author #6 Share Posted December 11, 2005 coop, how are you getting to the cruise terminal from airport? my significant other works right nearby the cruise terminal...what day do you come in on? We were going to take the Gray Line Express from the Airport, it seems to be the cheapest. We are going on May 20th 2006. We were seriously just going to take a couple of the cardboard cases of 36 sodas and wrap them in duct tape to make sure they dont break. Itf a couple spill, too bad. Just wondering if they will all explode if moved by the airline people?
sunprincess Posted December 11, 2005 #7 Share Posted December 11, 2005 I used to always carry on at least a 12 pack to get me started. Now with the soda card I no longer do that. I will sometimes get a few bootles at the airport when I land. Enjoy your cruise :)
