cltnccruisers Posted January 10, 2018 #501 Share Posted January 10, 2018 This may seem a silly question, but can you tell me which side, port or starboard, was the pier side on the most on this past cruise? In the past the port side was it, but curious if that is still the same. We like the view of the pier and are booked in a port, but a starboard cabin just came available. Thanks! I always thought this was kind of a crap shoot depending on how many ships are in port and the order in which they arrive. We tried to figure it out a few times and just got a headache -thank God for Goody's.
ncdachsiemom Posted January 10, 2018 #502 Share Posted January 10, 2018 LindaI think we're on the same cruise as you (Feb. 4 or Feb.18) . We have sailed with the bikers before and, yes, it IS so much fun watching the local club come to greet the people off our ship. However, we always book the same cabin (have done this same 14 day cruise for at least 5 years) and it's starboard so maybe we back in to some of the ports. Either way it's not hard to run up top to watch. We are on the Jan 21 cruise...we have probably been on the same one before...have done this cruise 3 times also, once with the bikers on board. They are so entertaining. I always try to get an angled balcony concierge cabin and usually succeed by checking every day until someone cancels one. We have also done starboard and port, and port seems to always have the best view of the pier and town...but you never know when this may change. It probably also depends on who else is docked and other factors. Enjoy your cruise!
