Rare missync Posted December 4, 2017 Author #26 Share Posted December 4, 2017 I'll check into what I can and can't do regarding the cruise. My problem isn't Haines. I'm excited to see it but since we are going to be in port for so long, I thought there would be plenty of time to do EVERYTHING!!! I wanted to be able to see Haines and still go see Skagway which is why I chose this cruise. I just didn't expect so few ferry times and the 2018 schedule wasn't posted when I booked. I guess it makes sense but it still surprised me.

If you decide to change to a cruise that goes to Skagway (instead of Haines) you MAY find that the ferry times to Haines and back to Skagway work better for you -- so you might be able to get to Haines and back more easily than Haines to Skagway and back to Haines. Several years ago I had booked ferry tickets from Skagway to Haines, the timing for the ferry trips worked okay, but I ended up cancelling the whole cruise, so I can't tell you any more than "the timing worked" at that time (several years ago).
