Cyber Sale "$25. Beverage Card" - How does it work?

We are new to HAL... Taking our first cruise on HAL in January.

 

As part of the Cyber Sale, we got a couple of $25. beverage cards. Will someone let us know how they work? We don't drink alcohol, but would like to use them if we can. We are interested to learn what we should expect.

You can use the beverage cards for soda, bottled water and specialty coffee at the Explorations Cafe. $25 would not last long for me!

I believe the beverages cards can also be used for cookbooks, towel folding book, and coffee mugs at the Explorations Cafe. At least, they used to be accepted there for those non beverage items.
