Captain's Gala Night

We are due to take the Discovery in January. We haven't cruised before and are conscious of our luggage allowance. Are tux required for the above evening? If so is it worth taking one for just that one event? Many thanks.

It's not necessary as it's now a dress to impress night, I always take my tux along with about 50% of the passengers. But just go in what you feel comfortable if that's smart casual that's fine just no shorts or vests in the MDR😁 Don't worry about the temperature in the Caribbean as the ship has full air conditioning and you will not be to warm in a jacket. Have a great first cruise and be prepared because it may be the first of many😎
