River Tubing in Falmouth Jamaica

What kind of shoes do you need (if any) for river tubing in Falmouth Jamaica (adventure falls excursion)? And do you need insect repellent? Not sure of the logistics and what to bring!

We did this excursion in November. Take water shoes and insect repellent. It’s about a 10 min walk along the river until you get in the water. I came away with over 15 mosquito bites

Does this excursion have an area where we can secure our valuables?

There is NOWHERE secure to keep your belongings. The best case-and what is supposed to happen- is you drop your belongings off on a table at the end of the of the river and you pick them up when you get finished.

 

However... This doesn't always happen. For our excursion, we were told to leave everything on the van and it would meet us at the end of the river (you don't finish where you start, obviously). When we got to the end of the river, the van with our belongings was nowhere to be found and they didn't know where it was. It had everyone's clothes, money, credit cards, etc (passports too, for those that took them). The van finally showed up an hour later- it had been sent to get a whole other group of passengers who sat with all our belongings, which were all moved around.
