PoohUnderstands Posted January 7, 2018 #1 Share Posted January 7, 2018 As a DCL newbie, I know I cannot book anything until 75 days out, but is there somewhere I can look to get a good example of the type of tour DCL offers at each port of call. Also what type of onboard activities need a ticket or reservation? Thanks. Pooh
moki'smommy Posted January 7, 2018 #2 Share Posted January 7, 2018 Yes, you can see what is offered at each port. Go to the tab for "Things to do" and then "Port Adventures" and ultimately choose your port. It will show you the excursions offered for your port. It will not give you any information about availability until your window opens. On board activities that need a free ticket are the Princess Gathering ( a meet and greet with 4-5 princesses present), Frozen Meet and Greet, occasionally other special meet and greets, Gingerbread house making on MerryTime cruises,...and that's about it for the freebies. Paid on board activities requiring reservations are the various "tastings" or "mixology seminars" where you are sampling alcohol, the sports simulator, spa, Bippidy Boppidy Boutique, and that's all that come to mind right now. Adult dining (Palo and Remy) also need a reservation, either in advance or on board. They do hold back reservations for dining so if you can't get it in advance, try again on embarkation day. The vast majority of on board activities are such that you show up at the venue at the time listed on the Navigator, and the vast majority are at no charge. Those with a cost (like BINGO) will note that in the Navigator.
