Does anyone know if there is a nice beach near the port or a hotel that would sell a day pass? Just looking to relax and not have to go to far from the port. Thanks.[/quote

The No 3 bus or taxi to Illetas beach , sun loungers , pedalo's and paddle boards and changing facilities.

You would need to go to Palma Nova beach to find more water sport activities, I would choose Illetas beach ,very safe sandy beach with shallow water.

There is an exclusive beach club also there see below.

Is this a free beach or does it have a cost to enter for a few hours? Is there areas to explore? Based on photos it looks like there are a lot of rocky areas to walk around and take pictures of, can you access this easily or are they blocked off?

All beaches are free in Majorca , you will have to pay for the sun beds and there is a walk from Illetas beach around the coast to Porto Portals.
